The YoPro Experience

Created to empower and career boost young professionals starting out their career in the PR industry. The Young Professionals (YoPro) program grows promising PR practitioners into thriving leaders. YoPro does this by pairing up to 15 soon-to-be or recent college graduates with mentors at Orange County’s top companies and organizations with senior and executive level mentors. The YoPro experience is highlighted by the following three elements:

Mentee Requirements

If you are going to apply, all of the following things should be true.

You are a young professional. You are a recent graduate or graduating senior for Spring 2023 -or- have less than 5 years of PR experience.

You are a PRSSA or an OCPRSA member. If you are not a current member, please register as an Associate Member for a discounted rate. Click here to join!

You are interested in pursuing a career in public relations. You don’t have to have it all mapped out, nor is this a binding commitment. But a career in public relations should be among your goals for the future.

You are available to meet with your mentor. Meetings will take place virtually or in-person for a required one hour at least once per month. Additional events will take place throughout the program.

You are a PR professional. You have more than 5 years of experience in PR.

You are an OCPRSA member. If you are not a current member, please register as a full member to learn, connect and lead! Click here to join!

You are available to meet with your mentee. Meetings will take place virtually or in-person for a required one hour at least once per month. Additional events will take place throughout the program.
